  2. Great. A friend of mine has been trying to explain the Gita. In my reading of it I tend to get lost in the minutia of the whatever line of text I am reading at the moment. Hopefully using these blogs I can find guide post to where I am going..

    1. Hi Carl,

I'm so happy that you're finding these very brief chapter summaries helpful! I own quite a few different translations of the Gita, but two books of commentary stand out for me: "Understanding and Standing Under the Bhagavad Gita," Written by Donald Curtis (with a Foreword by Wayne Dyer), and "Bhagavad Gita: Annotated and Explained," Translated by Shri Purohit Swami, Annotations by Kendra Burroughs.

The Gita is a magnificent text, full of depth, so you're certainly not alone in tending to "get lost in the minutia of whatever line" you're reading. A lifetime wouldn't be long enough to fully explore all the nuances of this beautiful, ancient scripture. Enjoy your journey with it!
